Slovenia's largest Baroque Calvary: 14 chapels on the ridge above the town, listed among the country's seven wonders. Allow 20 minutes to walk up. The 43 original statues are in the town's Museum of Baroque.

Olimje Monastery
A Renaissance castle that became a monastery in 1663. Its pharmacy, painted in 1780, is one of the oldest monastic pharmacies in Europe, and the herb garden has more than 200 plants. Entry is free.

About 200 fallow deer and mouflons on an 8-hectare farm. Buy corn in the farm shop and feed them by hand. The restaurant serves game.

We didn’t get to try the sauna this time, but that’s a good reason to come back.”

Questions before you book
15 minutes by car, about 14 km. KALVISTA is in Šmarje pri Jelšah, not at the resort, so you drive over and use the spa car park. Rogaška Slatina is also 15 minutes away, Jelenov Greben 18 and Olimje Monastery 20.
You get a whole apartment instead of a hotel room: your own sauna, kitchen, terrace and parking, plus free EV charging. The downside is the 15-minute drive to the pools.
Yes. Terme Olimia sells day tickets to visitors who are not staying there, and you can buy them online in advance. Wellness Orhidelia and the Termalija sauna area are for ages 15 and over. With younger children, go to Family Wellness Termalija or, in summer, the Aqualuna water park.
Cancellation is free up to 14 days before arrival. The minimum stay is two nights outside holiday periods. Tourist tax is paid on arrival: €2.50 per adult per night, €1.25 for ages 7–18, and nothing for children under 7.
Check-in is from 15:00. You let yourself in with a personal lockbox code, which we email the day before. Check-out is by 10:00. Earlier arrival or later departure is possible on request when the calendar allows.

It is an 11 kW Type-2 wallbox on the house wall, free for guests. Any modern EV plugs straight in and charges fully overnight. Please don't run the sauna while the car is charging, because together they can trip the house supply.
Not at the moment. The oak floors and the linens are new.
